Newcastle United return to Premier League action this weekend and will be able to add two new faces to their matchday squad.

Eddie Howe and Co. are gearing up to face Wolves in their first match after the September international break. The Magpies go into the fixture on the back of a goalless draw with Leeds United before the two-week hiatus from club football.

United made six new signings this summer, and four of them have already featured in the matchday squad this season. Anthony Elanga, Jacob Ramsey, Malick Thiaw and Aaron Ramsdale have all been included by Howe in the Newcastle squad at least once already this term.

Two players who are yet to be included are Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa. Woltemade was signed two days before the deadline and was not registered in time to feature against Leeds last time out, while Wissa was signed minutes before the transfer window closed.

Howe will be hoping that both players will be available to feature for Newcastle when they host Wolves at St James' Park on Saturday. One player Howe is also

One other player who could return to the squad after missing the Leeds clash is Joelinton. The Brazilian was left out of the squad due to a slight groin issue, but Howe expected him to be back after the break.

"Joelinton's scan was good," he said last month before Leeds. "He will miss this weekend. We'll hopefully get him back for the game after the international break."

The Magpies have picked up just two points from their first three Premier League fixtures and have already been held to two goalless draws this term.

Newcastle will also have the return of Champions League football at St James' Park this month. Howe and Co. will take on Barcelona on home soil next week in their first fixture of the league phase, while also facing an away trip to Union Saint-Gilloise in early October.
