Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are back in Premier League action this weekend
Arsenal face Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium as they look to bounce back from their defeat against Liverpool last time out. The Gunners have six points on the board from their first three Premier League fixtures. Meanwhile, Chelsea have seven and are unbeaten so far this season under Enzo Maresca.
As for Tottenham Hotspur, they won their first two outings under Thomas Frank. However, they lost in their last game before the international break against AFC Bournemouth. Here is a look at the best player for each of the trio so far, according to WhoScored.
Arsenal defender shines
Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has been their highest rating player in this campaign to date on WhoScored. He has been awarded 7.46. The full-back has a passing success rate of 86.2%. He ranks just above Bukayo Saka, Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori.
Timber, 24, is a key player for the Gunners. He has been with the London club since joining them back in 2023. Prior to his move, he caught the eye in the Eredivisie at Ajax and spent nine years in Amsterdam before opting for a change of scene in England.
The Holland international, who has 18 caps to his name, struggled with injury during his first 12 months with Mikel Arteta’s side. However, since returning to full fitness he has become one of their most prized assets. He has made 54 appearances in all competitions and has scored four goals, two of which have come this term.
Chelsea new boy catches eye
Chelsea landed attacker Joao Pedro from Brighton and Hove Albion in the past transfer window. He was snapped up to boost their forward ranks. The Brazilian has since injected more quality into their options going forward and has done well so far.
The 23-year-old scored in their victory over Fulham in their last outing, whilst Enzo Fernandez also got on the scoresheet. WhoScored have ranked him as the highest rated Blues players so far on 7.85 ahead of Trevoh Chalobah and Moises Caicedo. He has two goals and two assists to his name in three league matches.
Tottenham Hotspur recuit Mohamed Kudus impresses

Kudus made the move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in July and penned a long-term six-year deal running until 2031. He fired 19 goals in 80 matches for West Ham before leaving for a new challenge. They forked out £55million to get him.
At the time, he said: “It feels great to be here, I’m very happy and can’t wait to start. I’m a very direct winger, strong, very good in taking players on and creating chances, so there is a lot of flair in my game. I like to entertain the fans as well. That’s what football is about – it’s putting a memory in the heads of the fans that they have when they go back home, and after the money they’ve spent to buy a ticket.
“Although there is also a lot of seriousness and competitiveness in the game, I still think it’s a sport I try to enjoy as much as I can and give the fans something to enjoy too. I hope fans are going to really enjoy what I’m going to bring to the team here.”
