Back in Houston, Rockets head coach Ime Udoka is keeping a close eye on Sengun’s development — especially on the defensive end.

“For him, we want him to work on specific things. The way they guard him over in Eurobasket, he's doing a great job of getting high assist numbers, being very efficient,” Udoka said, via Lachard Binkley of Sports Illustrated.

“[He also] had some really big end-of-the-game plays defensively that won them games. It’s great to see the work he put in be rewarded.”

Houston Rockets star finished the quarterfinal with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists, proving why he has been one of the most dominant players of the tournament.

So far, in the EuroBasket, he is averaging 21.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game while shooting nearly 60% from the field.

Turkey will now face Greece in the EuroBasket semifinals on September 12, with tip-off set for 20:00 CEST / 2:00 PM ET.
