Micah Parsons and the Green Bay Packers stay hot. After dominating the two-time NFC North champions Detroit Lions in a 27-13 victory at Lambeau Field in Green Bay in Week 1, the Packers walloped the Washington Commanders at home in a Thursday Night Football matchup in Week 2, via a score of 27-18.
The Green Bay machine is humming, and many more have started to believe in the team’s chances to win the Super Bowl and bring home the Vince Lombardi Trophy back in Titletown.
Defense has been a major reason for Green Bay’s success, thus far in the 2025 NFL regular season. That has been the expectation for the team’s stop unit ever since the Packers pulled off the stunning trade that landed them superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons via a deal with the Dallas Cowboys just before the start of the campaign.
Parsons is not even at his 100 percent form yet, but the Packers have already been eating opposing offenses alive. Matthew Stafford and Jayden Daniels can attest to that after their teams combined for just 31 points against Green Bay’s defense.

The four-time Pro Bowler thinks that the rest of the NFL has been put on notice by his group after impressive showing over two games.

Micah Parsons on message #Packers defense sent to rest of NFL in past 2 games:
“Teams are going to be like, ‘This is going to be a heavyweight fight.’ We’re coming out here, we’re running to the ball, we’re playing fast, trusting each other, communicating. That just makes you hard to beat. As long as we just keep doing that every week, and challenging ourselves to keep up with that same energy and effort, we’re going to be a hard team to beat.”
Green Bay held the Commanders to only 230 total yards, with Daniels struggling to find his groove. Daniels was under constant pressure from the home team’s defense, resulting in four sacks for a loss of 21 yards.
Parsons didn’t have a brilliant individual performance based on the box scores, as he only had two total tackles and half a sack, but he also had three quarterback hits, while attracting Washington’s attention enough to open things up for his teammates.
