**Mohammed Kudus returns to the London Stadium on Saturday with bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur, but what sort of response will he get?**
The Ghanaian attacker was on the receiving end of a lot of criticism after making the switch across London to Tottenham this summer, not only were we unhappy about him joining one of our biggest rivals, his desire to only join then led to us getting a lower fee than we were demanding. So, fans were not happy with anything about the move.
A lot of players have received boos after leaving East London under bad circumstances, most recently Declan Rice. However, the response to Declan leaving was very mixed, so he only received boos from some parts of the ground.
Me personally, I completely get why he left, he come off the back of yet another borderline world-class season where we finished low down in the table, he captained us to Conference League victory, and realistically he was never going to achieve anything much better at the club. Arsenal, a team chasing titles showed interest, and he believed he could help bring them to North London, it was hard to begrudge him. Not only that, despite wanting the move he acted professionally.
However, Mohammed Kudus’ move to the other half of North London has gone down a whole lot worse. West Ham fans have already shown their thoughts on Kudus making the switch to North London. A flag labelled ‘Judus’ with the Ghanaians face on a snake was spotted in Sunderland before our first game of the season against the Black Cats.
The London Stadium hasn’t had a game with a great atmosphere in a long while, but this and the fact it’s an important game against Tottenham could really ramp up the atmosphere and tension in the ground. It would be great to see the whole stadium boo every one of his touches on Saturday night, make the ground intimidating for both the player and the whole team as we head into an important game regarding the future of Graham Potter.
