**Official Newcastle United injury and availability update from Eddie Howe – 12 September 2025:**
**Yoane Wissa**
There had been media reports of the striker having had a scan on a potential knee injury, following Wissa getting subbed for DR Congo.
Eddie Howe has now confirmed the striker suffered an injury on international break and will miss the Wolves match. He says Yoane Wiss will now see a specialist and the Head Coach can’t give a comeback date.

The signing from Villa will also miss the Wolves game, due to an ankle injury. Indeed, Eddie Howe expects him not to be available until after the next international break, which means he misses a minimum of seven NUFC games.
