New Contract for Everton Forward Until 2027

Everton have extended Inma Gabarro’s contract until 2027. The Spanish international joined the club in July 2024 but suffered an ACL injury in just her second game of the 2024/25 season. Now fully recovered, she will spend the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Sevilla, moving closer to home while continuing her development.

Gabarro reaffirmed her commitment to the Toffees but expressed a desire to be nearer to her family. Ahead of their first [WSL](https://womenfootball.blog/womens-super-league-table-standings/) match, head coach Brian Sørensen explained that the forward missed her family, and the club wanted to loan her to a team closer to home while also showing faith in her by extending her contract.

Sørensen’s side could not have dreamed of a better start to the 2025/26 Women’s Super League season. The Toffees traveled to Anfield for the Merseyside Derby and secured an emphatic 4–1 win.

New summer signing Ornella Vignola scored a hat-trick, while Katja Snoeijs also got on the scoresheet.

Now, the team is aiming to build on that impressive victory when they face Tottenham Hotspur this weekend at their new home, Goodison Park.

“It is an amazing stadium, it is an amazing pitch,” said Sørensen. “We were here at Goodison today and will be here the day before the game. We can’t get enough of being here, we want to really make it our home.

“Goodison Park is a blend of a new era and the history that is here. I love the quote: ‘you don’t become an Evertonian, you are born it.’ I told the girls, we have inherited something historic.”

Despite the dominant result, Everton had to come from behind after Liverpool’s Kapocs opened the scoring. Sørensen acknowledged the challenge: “We need to be ready and showcase ourselves. Tottenham Hotspur are a good side with good players.

“We are still not 100% in terms of us clicking as a team. It was a good experience of adversity where you have to fight back. To come back and turn it around so much was good to see.“
