Alejandro Garnacho has wasted little time making an impact at Chelsea's Cobham training ground after his move from Manchester United. After signing the winger to a seven-year contract with Stamford Bridge, Blues manager Enzo Maresca didn't hesitate to put Garnacho through his paces.
The Chelsea coaching staff were keen to assess the Argentinian international's fitness, so he was assigned a series of strength and conditioning tasks. Garnacho and compatriot Facundo Buonanotte, who joined the Blues on loan from Brighton on deadline day, began their regime in the gym before joining their new teammates on the pitch.
Once they joined Maresca's squad, the pair were subjected to an intense running drill. In a video shared across the club's social media platforms, Garnacho appeared worn out, but team-mate Wesley Fofana offered little sympathy.
"Welcome to Chelsea Football Club," Fofana told his new colleague, with Garnacho responding: "I can't move my legs now, man". The former United winger seems to have settled well in west London, though, with his dedication and conduct not going unnoticed.
Speaking to reporters at Cobham on Friday morning, Maresca commended Garnacho, hinting that he might make his debut against Brentford this weekend. The Chelsea boss said: "He's working well. For sure he needs to work because he arrived here probably not 100 per cent fit. So he needs to work. He's working well and we'll see. But hopefully soon we can give him minutes."

Garnacho gave an interview when he swapped Old Trafford for Stamford Bridge at the end of last month, laying out why he made the move. Speaking to the official club website, he said: "I have a winning mentality. I have passion and a big personality.
"It's a natural fit with a club like Chelsea, which have just won the Club World Cup. Chelsea are at the top now, and it's important to fight for the club like the fans deserve. I watched the Club World Cup, and to join the world champions is special – it means we're the best team in the world!".
"It's not common to have played a lot of games at this age, but it has helped me a lot. I'm only 21 and I have a lot of experience from these different types of games, stadiums and moments."

Garnacho had been a key player under Ruben Amorim until he was unexpectedly benched for the Europa League final. The winger had featured in every previous knockout match in the tournament, so the choice immediately raised questions about his future.
Days later, the United manager left him out of the matchday squad entirely for the Premier League season finale. Garnacho was told he could depart - and promptly sealed a £40million switch to Chelsea.
