Jamie Carragher believes that Ange Postecoglou is lucky to be Nottingham Forest head coach after he had a poor Premier League record at Tottenham.
The Australian has replaced Nuno Espirito Santo at the helm of the Forest side, and his appointment has caused division in the footballing world.
Roy Keane sent Ange a stark warning about Evangelos Marinakis after joining the club.
Whereas Chris Sutton sent a message of congratulations to Postecoglou immediately after his arrival.
However, now Jamie Carragher has chipped in with his opinion on the appointment, and it isn’t complimentary for the Australian.

Jamie Carragher believes Ange Postecoglou is fortunate to be Nottingham Forest head coach
Jamie Carragher has been sharing his thoughts on what has been going on at Nottingham Forest.
In a recent column for the Telegraph, Carragher said Nottingham Forest were one of the most disliked clubs.
However, in that same column, he also presented his thoughts on Ange Postecoglou being named as Forest head coach.

The footballer turned pundit felt that Ange’s time at Tottenham did not warrant him getting another job so quickly, and he was lucky to get it.
Carragher said, ‘Postecoglou is fortunate to get another chance in the Premier League so soon after his Tottenham Hotspur sacking.’
Mr Marinakis has turned Nottingham Forest into an exciting football project for players/managers & SD’s, he’s also turned the club into one of the most disliked in the country.

‘That has nothing to do with Postecoglou’s style of football, even though it is strange to shift so far from one extreme to another. First and foremost, Postecoglou can be considered lucky on the strength of his Premier League record’ he continued.
Carragher is not wrong about Ange having a poor record. The Australian did lose 34 of his last 56 league games as Spurs manager.
That is a fact that cannot be denied. However, the 60-year-old’s time at the London club will only serve him well, and he will know not to make the same mistakes at Forest.
Ange has already admitted that he is ‘better equipped’ at Forest, but there is one concerning thing he must address.
Ange Postecoglou must learn from Tottenham injury mistakes
One of Ange Postecoglou’s biggest mistakes at Tottenham was the ever-growing injury list. Due to his high line and the demands he places on his players, this resulted in a lot of injuries.
Thanks to the transfer work done by Marinakis and Edu, Nottingham Forest have a deep squad that Ange can tap into.
If the high tempo football style is what he wants to continue with, he will need to utilise the depth at his disposal.
There are a lot of games, and the Australian will know that rotating players often will be the most obvious solution to any injury issues.
Postecoglou has already seen one key player on the injury list, but this came while on international duty, and not with the club.
