ATLANTA – Each year, Overtime Elite kicks off its season by hosting a combine and Pro Day for college coaches, NBA personnel, and the media. The event has become a must-stop on the early Fall calendar. If you need further proof, how about the fact that Overtime told 247Sports that there were over 100 college coaches and NBA types registered to take in the event.
247Sports counted coaches from nearly 40 different programs (many of them with multiple coaches), and 27 of 30 NBA teams registered for the event.
Needless to say, it was a golden opportunity for the 30+ players enrolled at OTE this season to play in front of people capable of advancing their careers. After a day filled with drills and five-on-five play, there were 10 players who stood out among the others.
Below is a look at Anderson Diaz, Tyran Frazier, Jeremy Jenkins, Blaze Johnson
Let's dive in
ANDERSON DIAZ
One of the most creative ball handlers in the class of 2027, Anderson Diaz backed up his top-25 ranking for that cycle. His ability to get paint touches, create space for shots, and deliver crisp passes to his teammates stands up well against anybody in the country. He's more powerful than you think at 6-foot-1 and plays with equal amounts of fearlessness and confidence. Diaz got rolling for a few stretches, and there wasn't much anybody could do with him.
Recruitment: Diaz already holds offers from the likes of******Auburn**, Cincinnati, Illinois, Louisville, Ole Miss, Providence, Seton Hall, St. John's, Syracuse, **UCLA******and Villanova.
