Micah Parsons has changed everything for the Packers.
Through two games, Parsons has logged 1.5 sacks with nine quarterback pressures–seven coming against Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, while sparking coordinator Jeff Hafley’s defense to take its game to new heights.

After stifling the Detroit Lions and Commanders through the first two games, Parsons says the Packers’ defense has the pieces to put the rest of the NFL on notice.
“J-Love, I think you give us 20 points, we should be able to win that game,” Parsons told reporters following Thursday’s win. “It’s all about getting stops and getting the ball back to the offense. As y’all seen against Baltimore and Buffalo, you can have your quarterback damn near have a perfect game but still lose because guess what, the defense gave up, what, 40 points? So, defense wins championships. I think the fans like points and they like to see the big plays, but when you play great defense, it’s just so beautiful to see.”
Against two of the most balanced, and explosive offenses from the 2024 season, the Packers have looked the part of a championship-caliber defense.
Beyond Parsons’ contributions on the stat sheet, the All-Pro has ignited something more potent for Green Bay; a championship-level confidence.
“Yeah, we got Micah Parsons,” Keisean Nixon told ESPN, when asked if Green Bay can win with defense first.
So far, the Packers have done exactly that, with sights set on far loftier goals.
