Daniel Farke didn’t get everything he wished for in the summer transfer window, but insists he’s currently happy with his Leeds United squad.
Fulham are up next for Leeds in the Premier League, and with the dust settling on the summer window, Daniel Farke remains optimistic.
It goes without saying that Farke was left without the attacking signing that he made clear he wanted throughout August, though.

“Have to prepare” – Daniel Farke asked about Leeds United January transfers
Transfers have to take a back seat for now, unless you’re Chelsea. So, Farke will need to make do with his current squad until at least the new year.
Farke’s press conference pre-Fulham was the first time he’s spoken since Leeds’ dramatic failure on deadline day.

There’s just under four months between now and January. However, Farke is expecting work behind the scenes to potentially rectify the matter in January.
“I’m just happy the transfer window is over. Discussed transfers since May. Can’t change the outcome but positive, I’m pleased with how we strengthened defence and midfield. Focused on working with the team,” Farke said, via the YEP.
“Key people have to prepare for January but I’m just focused on the here and now. Can’t afford to give any concentration away from the squad I have right now.”
Daniel Farke needs to keep Leeds United competitive before January transfer window
As Farke says, there’s nothing Leeds can do right now. It also has to be said that the business Leeds have done is worthy of praise.
The defensive and midfield reinforcements are strong, regardless of what we didn’t do in attack. And even then, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor are solid additions.
The club will surely be working into transfers behind the scenes. Meanwhile, Farke has to keep Leeds competitive up untul the January window.
If Leeds want difference-makers in January (which is difficult anyway), then you need to be in with a decent chance of staying up.
