Graham Potter says it is important that West Ham continue the positive atmosphere generated around the club following the 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest by producing another good performance in this weekend's big London derby.

The Hammers host Thomas Frank's Tottenham in Stratford on Saturday evening in what will be United's second home derby of the season, following the earlier clash with Chelsea. And the Hammer Head Coach is hoping the impressive win at the City Ground a fortnight ago will prove to be a springboard for improved form.

"It's an important game for us," Potter said when addressing the media ahead of Saturday's 5.30pm kick off. ""There was a determination [at Forest] from the players that was born from frustration, disappointment and anger about how the first two games had gone.

"We understand how much this game means to our supporters, so we want to carry on the feeling of positivity we had against Forest, do our best and try to win."

And Potter also welcomed recent re-signing Lukasz Fabianski back to the club. "He's towards the end [of his career] but there's still life there, for sure," he added: "He brings a lot of character, personality, and standards."
