The 2025/26 Premier League season gets back underway this weekend with Matchday 4, and there are several tantalizing matchups on display, including the Manchester Derby a London/Mohammed Kudus Derby, and Jack Grealish’s potential revenge game against Aston Villa.
Here are five bold predictions for the coming weekend of games as the 2025/26 Premier League season rolls on.
### Manchester City don’t beat Manchester United
Manchester City and Manchester United will close the weekend with a Manchester Derby that truly feels like the game of the week, mostly because both teams underperformed last season and have been struggling again to start the 2025/26 campaign.
But while “struggling” for Manchester City means having a scare of not reaching the top five, it meant being buried in the bottom half of the table for Manchester United. Yet like in 2023/24 when Man United escaped with an FA Cup title over the Citizens, they still reached the 2024/25 Europa League Final.
Manchester United still have huge problems, bu they are a better team this season. Look for them to steal a surprising tie against Man City, courtesy of a one-man wrecking ball performance from new superstar Bryan Mbeumo. And that will raise more questions for Pep Guardiola to answer.
### Mohammed Kudus gets a hat trick of assists vs. West Ham
Mohammed Kudus and Tottenham all struggled equally – well, except for goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario – two weeks ago in an awful loss to Bournemouth that should have been by a much bigger margin than 1-0.
But otherwise, Kudus was brilliant in his other three games, including against PSG. He’s on a better team in Tottenham, and, well, it shows. Kudus is the new creative impetus for Spurs, and with Xavi Simons still away from getting full match sharpness, it will be the Ghanaian’s show to run against his old team.
And he will haunt an increasingly spiraling Hammers side, hammering them with three assists for the front line of Richarlison and, presumably, Randal Kolo Muani to feast on. Kudus is a Premier League superstar.
### Jack Grealish scores a brace against Aston Villa
Jack Grealish is also a Premier League superstar facing his former employers, Aston Villa, where he will forever live in legend for grabbing everyone’s attention with his unique skill-set.
That skill-set was tempered by Guardiola at Manchester City, but, make no mistake, Grealish was still a top-class winger over there and won a treble with the Citizens for a reason.
Now, he’s raising the roof for Everton, who have gone from relegation fodder to an actual European contender with Grealish running the show. He’s going to show his goal-scoring side against his first employers in the Premier League and bag a brace, cementing himself as the early Premier League Player of the Season favorite.
### Viktor Gyokeres wins the game for Arsenal
It’s been a mixed bag for Viktor Gyokeres to start the season, and while the Swedish striker is an easy target for criticism from rival fanbases, he’s actually shown more than just flashes of being the solution for Arsenal at striker – and he’s definitely better than if Arsenal simply signed nobody at the position for yet another transfer window.
Gyokeres will be the difference and answer his critics against a tough Nottingham Forest side, rising to the occasion and edging out an in-form Chris Wood to help Arsenal get the full three points after dropping a dud against Liverpool two weeks ago. And that will be three goals in four games for him, which is massive.
### Estevao Willian wins Man of the Match
Another marquee addition to a Premier League that is increasingly lapping the other competitions in star power, Estevao Willian just might be the highest-upside player in the entire English top flight.
He’s been overshadowed by insane performances to start the 2025/26 Premier League season from fellow incoming Brazilian forward Joao Pedro, as well as world-class defensive midfielder Moises Caicedo.
However, Estevao has been seamlessly integrated into the starting lineup as a teenager and already looks miles better than the previous [Chelsea](https://chelseanews.com/) wingers. He is going to have a game to remember against Brentford, tearing the opposition apart with his explosive dribbling and chance creation.
