NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - WVUE-TV and Gray Media are thrilled to announce that DIRECTV and Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network (GCSEN) have reached an agreement to bring New Orleans Pelicans games to DIRECTV, DIRECTV Stream and U-Verse subscribers within the 14 television markets where GCSEN is available.

WVUE-TV and Gray Media are thrilled to announce that DIRECTV will now offer the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network (GCSEN), bringing New Orleans Pelicans games to DIRECTV, DIRECTV Stream and U-Verse subscribers within the 14 television markets where GCSEN is available.(FOX 8)

All non-national network games are set to air on GCSEN ensuring fans can catch every thrilling moment of the action.

DIRECTV is targeting a launch of GCSEN in the Fall of 2025.

“We’re proud to bring the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network to DIRECTV so Pelicans fans can watch their favorite team,” said Fox 8 and GCSEN GM Mikel Schaefer. “GCSEN is the exclusive home for all Pelicans non-network games and with Hall of Famer Joe Dumars putting together an extremely competitive team, it promises to be an incredibly exciting season.”

The Pelicans regular season opens Wednesday, October 22 in Memphis against the Grizzlies. The game will be simulcast on WVUE-FOX 8, coverage begins with the Pelicans Pregame show at 6:30 p.m., then the game broadcast at 7 p.m. The game promises to be an electrifying start to the season, and GCSEN is excited to bring it directly into homes across our region.

The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network also offers an exciting lineup of exclusive sports and entertainment programming in 14 markets across three states in the Gulf Coast region

including the Saints Kick-Off Show and the Black & Gold Postgame Show.
