Purdy revealed that Purdy is likely to miss two to three weeks, so it is believed that the dynamic signal caller will miss the Saints game, along with Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals.
The hopeful return for Purdy would be in Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Purdy has unfortunately been dealing with a form of turf toe that will knock him out for multiple weeks.
The good news is that Jauan Jennings has not been ruled out and remains questionable to play, as does Trent Williams.
Jones was a solid starter when he was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2021. He was named to the Pro Bowl in his rookie season, throwing for 3,801 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.
Despite the solid rookie year, Jones took a step back in production, playing for the Patriots in the 2022 and 23 seasons, but not making much of an impact.
Jones was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars ahead of the 2024 season for a sixth-round pick, and the Jaguars declined his fifth-year option, making him a free agent in 2025.
Jones then signed a two-year, $7 million deal with the 49ers.
When Was Mac Jones' Last Start in the NFL?
Mac Jones last started for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2024. He played in the final eight games of the season due to the injury to Trevor Lawrence.
During that time, he secured 1,672 yards, eight touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
What are Mac Jones' Overall Stats?
Jones has played four seasons in the NFL, throwing 10,590 yards, 54 touchdowns, and 44 interceptions.
Jones has also accumulated 419 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns in that time.
