Atlanta Falcons’ underrated wide receiver Darnell Mooney suffered a shoulder injury during the first day of training camp after hauling in a diving catch. He missed the rest of training camp and the three preseason games. Mooney returned to practice in late August but ultimately sat out in Week 1 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers despite being a game-time decision.

Casey Washington has already been ruled out for Sunday Night Football. The sixth-round pick from the 2024 NFL Draft class suffered a concussion in his starting debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Washington was not able to practice this week and, therefore, was not able to clear the concussion protocol on time.
