Nicki Minaj recently lit up a conversation on the Gram Live when she spoke about NBA YoungBoy and the power of his fan base. Instead of making a bold claim, she asked her audience a question. “What is it about NBA YoungBoy that was able to garner that level of hardcore, diehard, unwavering support?” she said. “That’s without getting help from a lot of the mainstream outlets, let’s just call a thing a thing.”

Nicki then connected the conversation to her own following, drawing parallels between YoungBoy’s supporters and her fiercely loyal Barbz. “You know how my fans act with me and it feels more like a family, a camaraderie,” she explained. “They don’t play about me and I don’t play about them, and people are always trying to figure it out.”
Her comments quickly sparked discussion across socials, with many pointing out how both artists inspire not just listeners but communities that go beyond typical fandom, rooted in dedication and a sense of belonging.
Teyana Taylor continues to expand her influence in the creative world, this time stepping in as the driving force behind NBA YoungBoy’s “Make America Slime Again” tour. The multitalented singer, actress, and director revealed that her all female production company, The Aunties, is shaping every detail of the tour’s presentation.
Speaking on a livestream with Kai Cenat, Taylor explained, “Well you know I have an all female production company called The Aunties. Me and my partner Coco started that company and we creative direct. We creative direct, choreograph, style. It’s like the whole 360, we do everything. So we jumped on the creative for YB.”
Her team’s role covers choreography, styling, and overall production design, ensuring that YoungBoy’s tour carries her signature touch. The run kicked off earlier this month in Dallas and is set to hit 45 cities across the country throughout the fall. Fans can also look forward to appearances from Offset, NoCap, Toosii, DeeBaby, and EBK Jaaybo, making for a star packed lineup.
While her professional schedule is thriving, Taylor has also been intentional about creating balance in her personal life. She recently opened up about her relationship with actor Aaron Pierre, describing it as one of the most fulfilling chapters of her life. In a conversation with Hot 97, she said, “Whatever is going on in the world is not gentle. I want to try something different where I’m not just like, ‘Hey! What’s going on!’ Because people are preying on your downfall. People are preying on the health that you are building. What me and Aaron have is very healthy, gentle, soft, and very kind, sweet, warm, and one of the best feelings I’ve ever had. It’s so safe and I don’t want us to be robbed of that. I am so grateful for him and everything that comes with him.”
With a groundbreaking tour on her plate and a renewed sense of peace in her personal life, Teyana Taylor is proving that her creative reign is only just beginning.
