Report: Real Madrid and Germany center-back Antonio Rüdiger out for three months

According to a report from Deportes Cope journalist Arancha Rodríguez (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Real Madrid and German national team center-back Antonio Rüdiger has sustained an injury that will sideline him for the next three months — meaning he will miss the rest of Germany’s qualifiers:

Antonio Rüdiger will be sidelined for around 3 months with injury. That means he would miss the remaining 4 games of Germany’s World Cup qualifying campaign.

Following tests carried out today on our player Toni Rüdiger by the Real Madrid medical team, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the rectus femoris muscle of his left leg. The outcome is pending.

On a good note, at least Borussia Dortmund center-back Nico Schlotterbeck is training with BVB again after being out since April with a meniscus tear. Schlotterbeck should be able to slide directly into the now-vacant center-back spot for Germany.

Bayern Munich is in a very interesting part of its season, which is sandwiched between two international breaks. What should we expect? Will Vincent Kompany be able to manage it effectively? There is a lot to discuss.

Let’s jump into it all! Here is what we have on tap for this episode of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show:
