Thomas Frank's start to life in North London has seen its ups and downs; an excellent 2-0 win over Manchester City was cancelled out by a 1-0 loss to Bournemouth, so Frank will be keen to get back into the green.
Headlines leading into the tie were of course dominated by former club chairman Daniel Levy, who exited his role after 24 years with the club.
Still, the Dane remained fully focused on getting new signings Xavi Simons and RandalKolo Muani**** up to speed and ready to contribute.
Tottenham Hotspur's opponents West Ham have had a shaky start to the campaign but most recently shook down Nottingham Forest in their own backyard 3-0, so tomorrow's game certainly has an edge to it.
Frank's thoughts on Levy leaving
It cannot be overlooked that the former chairman has had a significant impact on the club since his arrival, and whilst all of his achievements may not have come in the form of silverware Frank believes Levy deserves massive credit for the job he has done.
"Daniel deserves massive praise. He's been here 24 years, must be one of the longest chairman that has been in the Premier League ever. The things he's built, the success he's been a massive part of, you can't praise that enough."
"I think the two big, big things is he's actually laid I would say the foundation for the future in terms of this fantastic world-class training centre and of course a world-class stadium. Both those two we are at a top level so we can build from there to hopefully compete with the best clubs in the future."
For a squad that was riddled with injures weekly last season, Frank has surprisingly carried no burden like it, even after a busy international break.
"Everyone is fine, everyone returned from international duties well so that's always positive. Very happy about that. Everyone seems to be in a good place."
However, striker Dominic Solanke is expected to just miss out from selection.
"Dom will not be available still, don't expect it to be too long but he will not be available for this game."
Frank is taking charge of his first London derby as manager, to which he could not hold back his excitement.
"I'm very excited, I know it means a lot for the fans. We will go there and do everything we can to of course try to win the game."
The previous ten meetings between the two sides has seen four Spurs wins to three West Ham wins and three draws. A match tie that has been a lot closer than many anticipated in recent times.
Frank understands himself how difficult a London derby.
"I know it will be difficult and I know this game tomorrow will be extremely difficult because no matter if West Ham were top of the league or bottom of the league or middle of the league, this game will just make them raise their level."
The Dane also shared his thoughts on the Hammers' boss's career so far.
"I've known Graeme Potter for years and I've followed his fantastic work all the way from Sweden to Swansea to Brighton to Chelsea to now here. So big respect for him and his staff."
Spurs winger Mohamed Kudus will be facing off against his former side for the first time since his transfer across the capital this summer.
A hostile reception is to expected with Frank confident he will still perform to his highest level.
"The thing he should do is focus on his game. That's what he can control."
Although Frank possesses a big squad, the Dane lacked attacking depth, a problem he was able to solve late in the window acquiring Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig and Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain.
Frank is still unsure if either will make his team for tomorrow's game though.
"Both of them are looking good. Both of them are definitely in contention to be ready for the squad."
"Xavi, for natural reasons, is further down the line. He just started the first game for Holland and played a few games for Leipzig.
"In terms of Randal, it's been a while since he's played. Last time was in the Club World Cup. Hasn't trained really with PSG. So he is not as fit as Xavi, but he looks good."
Regardless of whether either Simons or Kolo Muani feature versus West Ham, Frank is more than prepared on how he can best deploy his new attacking weapons.
"Xavi, I see him mainly as a 10 or a left-sided player or left winger. Whereas Kolo, I see he can him playing as striker and he can play both wings, I would say."
