Aside from boxing’s undisputed Super Middleweight titles being on the line, the winner will also be blessed with a custom-made belt worth $188,000 (see it here).
World Boxing Commission (WBC) President, Mauricio Sulaiman, recently unveiled a Super Bowl-inspired, diamond-encrusted custom ring that will also be awarded to the winner. The commemorative ring is a thing of beauty to say the least, as it also has a removable top that unveils Allegiant Stadium — site of the mega-event — engraved with the names of Canelo and Crawford.
While no value was given, it’s safe to say it’s worth a pretty penny.
Of course, there is an interesting twist as to how (and when) the ring will be awarded to the winner because Sulaiman and Dana White — who is spearheading the promotion of the event — aren’t exactly seeing eye-to-eye at the moment. In fact, Sulaiman recently revealed that he has been ghosted by White and Co. ahead of the historic bout regarding his role in the post-fight festivities, seating arrangements and credentials.
He even went as far as to say that he will not be forbidden to enter the ring post-fight — security be damned!
