Fantasy football owners must keep tabs on the latest injury news, and each Friday the NFL releases its official injury report for Sunday games. We’ll highlight the key injuries that could impact fantasy lineup decisions and sift through the noise to save you time.
Be sure to check back on Sunday for gameday inactives and injury updates.
Week 2 Quarterback Injury Report
QB Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers: Purdy was ruled out with toe and left shoulder injuries. He’s expected to miss up to five weeks, and Mac Jones will start Week 2 in his place.
Week 2 Running Back Injury Report
RB Jaylen Wright, Miami Dolphins: Wright (knee) is doubtful to play this week.
RB Kalel Mullings, Tennessee Titans: Mullings (ankle) is doubtful for Week 2 as RB Tyjae Spears (ankle) remains out of commission.
RB Roschon Johnson, Chicago Bears: Johnson fully practiced Friday and has no injury designation.
Week 2 Wide Receiver Injury Report
WR Drake London, Atlanta Falcons: A shoulder injury in Week 1 gave gamers a scare, but London won’t miss any time and is off the injury report.
WR Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons: Mooney (shoulder) has been cleared to play and doesn’t have an injury tag.
WR Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants: An ankle injury has Robinson listed as questionable after being limited Friday, which typically spells a game-time decision.
WR Kayshon Boutte, New England Patriots: Boutte (shoulder) was limited the first two days but fully practiced Friday and will play.
WR Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins: Consecutive limited sessions to begin the week are behind Waddle (shoulder) after he fully practiced Friday.
WR Malik Nabers, New York Giants: Nabers (back) was limited Wednesday but fully participated the last two days and isn’t on the report with a designation.
WR Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Godwin (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 2, and he’s hopeful to return in early October.
WR Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers: Jennings (shoulder) is questionable for Week 2, so be sure to check on his availability before this early-window Sunday contest.
WR Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs: A week after suffering a separated shoulder, Worthy is doubtful for Week 2.
WR Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers: Reed suffered a fractured clavicle and will miss up to two months following surgery. A silver lining is it gives his foot injury a rest, so at least it’s not all bad.
WR Christian Kirk, Houston Texans: Kirk (hamstring) was limited Thursday and Friday. He’ll get an update ahead of this Monday Night Football matchup.
Week 2 Tight End Injury Report
TE Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens: Likely (foot) did not practice Friday and has been ruled out.
TE Evan Engram, Denver Broncos: Starting the week as limited, Engram (calf) was able to practice twice in full and is free from an injury tag.
TE Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders: A knee injury kept him out of Thursday’s session, and he’ll get an update after Saturday’s practice, but it appears Bowers will be fine for Week 2.
TE Mason Taylor, New York Jets: The rookie is questionable with an ankle injury but fully practiced Friday and should play.
TE Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles: A knee injury led to Goedert not practicing Friday. He has been ruled out.
TE Darren Waller, Miami Dolphins: Waller (hip) remains out of action.
Week 2 Other Injuries of Note
PK Tyler Bass, Buffalo Bills: Bass (hip, groin) will miss another game while on the Reserve/Injured list. PK Matt Prater will replace him once again.
RT Jack Conklin, Cleveland Browns: He has been declared questionable (eye) and will be a game-time decision.
RT Austin Jackson, Miami Dolphins: A toe injury has Jackson on the shelf this week.
LT Andrew Thomas, New York Giants: Thomas (foot) is doubtful for Week 2.
LT Christian Darrisaw, Minnesota Vikings: Darrisaw (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday Night Football.
LT Tristan Wirfs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Wirfs’ knee injury has limited him the first two practice days, and he’ll get an update Saturday.
LT Ikem Ekwonu, Carolina Panthers: Ekwonu (appendectomy) was limited Friday and is questionable.
LT Taylor Decker, Detroit Lions: Jared Goff’s blindside protector didn’t practice Friday and is questionable thanks to a shoulder injury.
LT Trent Williams, San Francisco 49ers: He’s questionable with a knee injury.
LG Trevor Penning, New Orleans Saints: Penning (toe) will not play.
RT JC Latham, Tennessee Titans: A hip injury means he won’t play this week.
CB Sauce Gardner, New York Jets: He’s questionable with a groin issue but expected to play.
CB DaRon Bland, Dallas Cowboys: A foot injury has Bland ruled out for Week 2.
CB Charvarius Ward, Indianapolis Colts: Ward (concussion) won’t be available.
CB Christian Gonzalez, New England Patriots: The standout corner will miss Week 2 because of a hamstring injury.
Pittsburgh Steelers: The defense will be without DT Derrick Harmon (knee), SS DeShon Elliott (knee), and CB Joey Porter Jr. (hamstring).
