Fabian Hurzeler’s side did the double over Bournemouth, winning both games 2-1.
In the game at the Vitality Stadium, they scored after four minutes in each half, while at the Amex Stadium, they led after 12 minutes.
Iraola admitted he didn’t feel his side was good enough in the home game last season, as the Cherries weren’t able to capitalise on having a man advantage for the final half an hour and only got a goal back in stoppage time.

But he was more satisfied with the away performance, despite the defeat – saying it was the small details that swung the game in Brighton’s favour.
“I think I'm not completely dissatisfied with the games we played against them past season, but I think they've been like quite level games,” Iraola told the Daily Echo.

“Chances for both teams, quite open games, I would say. But they've always scored first. They scored quite early in both games.
“I remember, I think by about the 10th minute in both games, they were already 1-0 up. We conceded that penalty away against Joao Pedro, small things that matter a lot in this kind of level games.
“So I hope we can also start as strong as we've started last two games, if not scoring, at least setting a good standard of what we want from the game.
“But these details, I think are important in this kind of matches. To score first, to make the first chance the first good play, the first set piece. I think they are important.”
Iraola’s Cherries have started the Wolves and Spurs games well, scoring what turned out to be the only goal of each game after four and five minutes respectively.

He said starting games on the front foot was something they had discussed over preseason.
“I think past season we were very, very good in the last 30 minutes of the games,” Iraola said.
“One of the, if not the best I think second, in all the league. I think we finished very strong but we were not as good in the beginning of the games.
“So it’s something that we wanted to solve. I don't know if we've solved but it's true that we've scored early in the last two games.
“At the end you want to be very good at the beginning, at the middle, finishing the games, [but] everything is not going to happen. But it's true that for me the first goal is always key in this kind of level games.
“I think to score first, it plays a lot after everything you do looks better. Everything confidence wise looks like you are in control of the things.
“And sometimes it's not like this. But I would like to keep this these good starts going.”
AFC Bournemouth host Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, September 13, kick off at 3pm.
