Richarlison's priceless reaction to Everton's Jack Grealish winning POTM shared

Everton loanee Jack Grealish was awarded the Premier League Player of the Month for August, and Richarlison’s reaction has been shared.

It has been quite the start to the 2025/26 campaign for Grealish, who could not have asked for much more.

David Moyes did not start the 30-year-old in the opener against Leeds United, but he has since become undroppable.

Grealish is proving a lot of pundits wrong through his excellent form for the Toffees.

No other player in the Premier League has been able to provide more assists (4) than Grealish through the opening three games.

For many, the Player of the Month voting will have been straightforward, but it seems as if Richarlison was not convinced about the result.

How Richarlison reacted to Everton’s Jack Grealish being named POTM

Grealish was left speechless after being named Player of the Month, with it being his very first time receiving the accolade.

The Everton forward beat seven other shortlisted Premier League players to the award, with Richarlison not one of them.

Despite this, the Brazilian forward’s reaction has been captured from inside Hotspur Way training facilities after hearing the news.

“Hey, the Premier League don’t like me, huh? This is impossible,” he said on Destiny Udogie’s Snapchat account.

The players that were actually nominated include:

Riccardo Califiori

Hugo Ekitike

Marc Guehi

Erling Haaland

Joao Pedro

Antoine Semenyo

Dominik Szoboszlai

Despite this, Richarlison clearly felt his two goals on the opening day were worthy of him winning the award for the Player of the Month.

Everton were mooted with a return for Richarlison this summer, and he is already outscoring the current strikers on Merseyside.

Grealish fully deserved the Player of the Month award

Along with providing more assists than any other player, it is the story which goes alongside Grealish’s performances.

The 30-year-old is recapturing his best form after years of struggles at Manchester City.

Thomas Tuchel has encouraged Grealish to maintain his form ahead of the next international break in a few weeks.

Grealish is now waiting on his first goal for Everton, with his former club, Aston Villa, coming to Merseyside this weekend.

Erling Haaland has raved about Grealish in an Everton shirt this season, and the 30-year-old was the obvious winner of the award.
