Eddie Howe should have a strong Newcastle United side against Wolves despite injury blows to Yoane Wissa and Jacob Ramsey.
After the international break, fans are looking forward to seeing the Magpies back in action at St James’ Park.
Newcastle United face Wolves in the Premier League, where both sides are keen to get their first wins of the season after a rather slow start. However, Eddie Howe has confirmed that Jacob Ramsey and Yoane Wissa are out with injuries.
Ramsey suffered an ankle injury, which is expected to leave him out for a month, while Wissa is still feeling some discomfort in his knee after coming off during international duty.
Meanwhile, Harvey Barnes was tipped to start against Wolves after appearing in the Magpies’ first three games of the season. However, a new personal update had fans worrying that his involvement was in doubt, but fans should not fear.

Harvey Barnes’ should be fine to play against Wolves after girlfriend gives birth.
Barnes has had a rather shaky start to the season, failing to register a single goal involvement in Newcastle’s first three games. Despite that, playing against a struggling team like Wolves would be a great opportunity to find the back of the net and get your confidence up.
However, Barnes, who joined Newcastle for a fee of up to £39m in 2023, had fans worried that he would miss the game due to personal reasons after his girlfriend shared on Instagram that she had given birth to their second child.
His absence has not been confirmed, and as the child was born on a Thursday, he should still be available to play on Saturday at St James’ Park.

In the meantime, congratulations to the pair on welcoming their newborn to the world.
Barnes has a good record against Wolves, scoring a worldie against them at Molineux last season to help the Magpies secure a 2-1 win away from home.
Additionally, Barnes will be enjoying the freedom of being Newcastle’s undisputed first-choice left winger for the next three Premier League games. Anthony Gordon’s red card against Liverpool means that Barnes has a free run at left wing, but his place in the squad could be up for grabs if he fails to impress.
Who could replace Harvey Barnes if he is absent for Newcastle United vs Wolves?
Barnes should be in line to play, but if he does not feature, there are a few players who could start in his place if need be.
Having played as a right-winger in every game he has played for Newcastle, Anthony Elanga could shift over to the left-hand side for one game, with Jacob Murphy taking the Sweden international’s place on the right.
Additionally, Joe Willock and Joelinton have experience playing as left wingers.
Howe could have looked to Ramsey to fill the void, but his injury has left the Toon boss searching for his replacement.
Barnes has a good opportunity to prove himself against Wolves, but he may have to wait another day to do so if he opts against playing.
