Mitoma expected to hit ground running following underwhelming international break

Albion's favoured left-winger is heavily favoured to start against Bournemouth in today's clash.

The Japanese international played limited minutes during two friendlies, with around 81 minutes against Mexico and 21 minutes in a 2-0 defeat to the USA.

When asked if this could be seen as an advantage for the Albion's clash against the Cherries, Hurzeler said: "I think it's always very individualised how the players react on minutes they are playing on the international break.

"I thought he was in a good place against City, so I hope we will be in a good place tomorrow [Saturday]."

Mitoma provided the through ball that assisted Gruda's strike in the 89th minute against Manchester City to secure a tough fought win at the Amex.

The winger was busy throughout the game, running down the line and finding holes in Matheus Nunes defensive game.

He also scored the winning goal the last time the Seagulls visited the Vitality Stadium, to secure a 1-2 win on the road.

Hurzeler said that players were used to "long travels" and that it shouldn't be a problem to getting back into the fold for the game ahead.

He added: "Diego played a little longer, so he might be a little more tired than the others, but overall they're all in good shape and they're used to it, they're used to the long travels, so I don't think that would be a problem."

Diego Gomez started in both Paraguay's World Cup Qualification fixtures during the international break.
