TheGreen Bay Packers are a problem. They have already established that point clearly through just two games in the 2025 NFL season, as they clobbered 2024 playoff teams Detroit Lions and Washington Commandersin double-digit victories.
With Micah Parsons part of the equation, Green Bay’s defense has not only became a dangerous bunch but a much more confident unit as well.
“Yeah, we got Micah Parsons,” Green Bay defensive back Keisean Nixon said when asked about the team developing an identity immediately following the Packers’ 27-18 win over the Commanders in Week 2’s edition of Thursday Night Football (h/tRob Demovsky of ESPN).

Meanwhile, former NFL punter Pat McAfee had a rather more hilarious take on the form of Green Bay’s defense.
“This Packers defense might be generational.. they’ve made the Lions and now the Commanders’ offenses look like JV operations,” McAfeewrote in a poston X (formerly Twitter).
Green Bay already had great talents before Parsons’ arrival in Titletown, but his addition to the squad just takes the team’s stop unit into another realm, and that has clearly manifested in those wins against the Lions and the Commanders.
Washington’s attack was flummoxed by the Packers’ relentless pressure. Jayden Daniels passed for only 200 yards on 24-of-42 pass completions and was sacked four times for a loss of 21 yards. The Commanders’ run game barely moved the needle, racking up only 51 yards on 19 carries.
In Week 3, a well-rested Packers defense will turn its attention on the Cleveland Browns in Green Bay’s first road game of the season.
