Andre Onana might have left Manchester United this summer, but Ashley Williams isn’t convinced that the club has addressed the goalkeeping issue.
Onana joined Trabzonspor on a season-long loan after being dropped from the team in the first three Premier League games by Ruben Amorim.
Onana’s last game was the embarrassing EFL Cup defeat against Grimsby Town, where he once again failed to impress fans and pundits.

Ashley Williams believes Man United needed an ‘experienced’ goalkeeper
Manchester United signed Senne Lammens on deadline day to try and improve the situation, but there are question marks over whether he will do that.
Williams spoke to Sky Sports about Manchester United’s goalkeeping dilemmas, admitting that the club continues to cause problems for themselves.

“I was shocked, really. They had a few areas where I think they needed to upgrade, and they did an okay job on the rest of them. They needed a goalkeeper; they needed an experienced one.
“They needed somebody to take control of that 18-yard box, which wasn’t happening at all, the exact opposite. So, now they’re left with these two.
“I agree, Bayindir, one more mistake, if it’s in the derby, he’s out of the starting line-up straight away. It’s just another problem.
“We seem to speak about Manchester United so much, but Manchester United and Ruben Amorim almost create problems for themselves, and talking points for us to talk about on the negative side.
“If it was me, one of the first things I’d have been trying to identify was, ‘I need a goalkeeper,’ because Andre Onana was making so many mistakes for so long that this was always coming.”
TBR Football revealed that Manchester United could have afforded Gianluigi Donnarumma in the summer from a wage perspective, but opted against the idea.
Altay Bayindir will start against Manchester City
Manchester United might have signed Lammens, but he will not make his debut this weekend in the derby game against Pep Guardiola’s side.
Amorim has confirmed that Bayindir will start the Manchester derby, one of the Red Devils’ most important games of the season.
There will be no shortage of pressure on his shoulders. After failing to keep a clean sheet in his opening three Premier League games, fans will question whether Bayindir can perform at this level.
It’s an issue that could drag on throughout Amorim’s entire season, which is an area of concern for the club.
