Newcastle return to action at 3pm today, and we’ve got a mixed bag of injury news available to us heading into the game.

Here is a breakdown of it all, featuring the good, the bad, and a Wolves blow that will do little to help a pointless Vitor Pereira side.

The good news

-------------

Joelinton is fit again and “looking good” in training after missing our 0-0 draw at Leeds last time out.

Lewis Hall has also stepped up his fitness levels over the break and is back in contention to start, while Sven Botman is fully fit and available after limping off at Elland Road two weeks ago.

The bad news

------------

Anthony Gordon remains suspended and will also miss next Sunday’s trip to Bournemouth, but there is two more attackers who’ve also been ruled out today.

Yoane Wissa (knee) has come back from DR Congo duty with a knock, while Jacob Ramsey (ankle) is set to be out until the next international break after failing to fully recover from that heavy tackle that forced him off at Leeds a fortnight ago.

Wolves blow

-----------

Summer target and Wolves star Jorgen Strand Larsen won’t make their trip to Tyneside, with the 6ft 4″ Norwegian still struggling with an achilles issue.

This could mean deadline day signing Tolu Arokodare is forced to come straight into their side, much like our very own Nick Woltemade, who looks set to start with Wissa out and Osula doing little to impress two weeks ago.
