Manchester City star Erling Haaland has had a great start to the season from an individual perspective.
The 25-year-old already leads the Premier League scoring charts with three goals, and the international break saw him bag a further six goals.
However, Manchester City haven’t had a good start as a group, losing two of their opening three league games.
Haaland has now spoken about what he is having to do this season that he never really had to do in the past.

The Norwegian noted how a lot of important people have left City, and those who have been at the club for years are having to step up and help the newer players.
“A lot of important people left,” Haaland told Sky Sports. “So new people have to come in and make a difference.
“People that have been here for years, me, I have to take more responsibility. I have to guide the team.
“I have to help the new ones to come in as quick as possible because it’s not easy to come into a new country and perform straight away.
“It’s not easy. People take time sometimes and this is normal, you know. Uh so uh we need to help each other.”

Erling Haaland’s brutally honest admission to his Manchester City teammates
City went into the 2024/25 season on the back of multiple glittering years in which they were the undisputed kings of the Premier League.
The Citizens had won an unprecedented four titles in a row, while their 2022/23 campaign saw them win the Treble.
However, City suffered a huge drop-off last season, finishing third and failing to get any silverware.
And Haaland made it clear that the past is in the past and that the team is not the same any more.
But instead of seeing this as a bad thing, Haaland urged his teammates to treat it as a positive, adapt to how things are now, and create new history.
“We need to understand that the past is the past,” said Haaland. “We’re not the same team any more, and we have to use it in a positive way.
“We have other qualities now than we had. And we have to adapt but we also we have to perform. That’s in the end the most important thing.
“Say what you want, but we have to win games in the end. That’s what we need. That’s what we get paid for.”
