Roony Bardghji signed for FC Barcelona during the summer, arriving from FC Copenhagen in a deal worth over €2 million.
The 19-year-old winger was one of the most exciting performers during the team’s pre-season tour of Asia, making a big impression on Hansi Flick and the fans.
But registration issues meant that the Swedish forward missed all three of the Blaugrana’s La Liga games so far this term.
Debut against Valencia for Bardghji?
Now, though, according to Mundo Deportivo, Bardghji’s patience may finally be rewarded this Sunday against Valencia, as he could make his Barcelona first-team debut if Hansi Flick considers it appropriate.
The 19-year-old missed the opening three matchdays due to Fair Play restrictions stopping the Catalans from registering him in the league.
But La Liga granted Barcelona approval last week to formalise his visa for first-team registration while being a reserve team player, with the winger set to wear the No. 28 jersey in his debut season.

Estadi Johan Cruyff, where the Barcelona vs Valencia fixture will take place, was precisely the stage of Bardghji’s last appearance with the senior team.
On 10 August, he played the final 12 minutes in the Gamper Trophy match against Como, replacing Lamine Yamal, taking up his natural position on the right wing.
Before that, during the tour of Japan and South Korea, he had already stood out, scoring on his debut on 27 July against Vissel Kobe.
Following the win against Como in the summer tournament, Bardghji continued training with the first team without playing. But he featured in Barça Atletic’s friendly against Atletic Lleida on 22 August, scoring a Panenka-style penalty in a 3-2 win.
During the international break, the 19-year-old played for the Swedish U-21 national team in their Euro qualifiers – scoring in the first game vs Armenia.
Having maintained his fitness and match rhythm despite not being involved in first-team action, Bardghji will hope to finally get his official Barcelona debut tomorrow.
