Newcastle United have named 25 players in their Premier League squad following the closure of the summer transfer window.
The club confirmed their Champions League squad earlier this month, but were only able to include 21 members of the team due to an absence of any 'club-trained' players. However, the one rule limiting Premier League squad sizes is the maximum of 17 players who do not fulfil the "Home Grown Player" (HGP) criteria.
Newcastle have nine non-HGP players, with their other 16 considered "Home Grown". As such, the club have met the squad limit of 25 players for the league.

The four additions from the Champions League squad are Harrison Ashby, Jamaal Lascelles, John Ruddy and Mark Gillespie. Much like that list, Lewis Hall and Lewis Miley are not among the players included, but that is because they are Under-21 players due to being born on or after 1 January 2004.
Hall turned 21 on Monday, while Miley is still only 19. As such, the club can register them on the additional list of eligible players on top of the 25.
Also among those names are summer signing Antonio Cordero, Aidan Harris, Travis Hernes and Trevan Sanusi, despite all three currently being away from the club on loan. Joe White, who is currently on loan with Leyton Orient, has been ommitted from the squad list this season.
