Dolphins reporter tried to tick off Tyreek Hill with leading question

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has not caught a pass of 30-plus yards since an 80-yard bomb against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1 of the 2024 season.

What gives?

That’s precisely what one Dolphins beat reporter set out to determine this week, leading Hill with a question seemingly designed to annoy the eight-time Pro Bowler.

"Is there any reason you haven't caught a pass for over 30 yards in a full year?"

Tyreek: "You trying to piss me off today."

“Is there any reason you haven’t caught a pass for over 30 yards in a full year?” they asked.

Hill was visibly agitated before the reporter even finished his question, attempting to laugh off his obvious frustration.

“You trying to piss me off today,” Hill responded.

The reporter insisted he wasn’t intentionally trying to annoy Hill, who eventually took the high road despite veins in his forehead bulging.

“I’m just grateful to be here, bro. I love my job,” Hill said. “It’ll come. It’s going to come. I feel like this week, we have a great opportunity to go out there and make some plays.”

The mercurial Hill was visibly frustrated in a Week 1 blowout loss to the Indianapolis Colts, and was seen engaged in a heated exchange with the Dolphins’ staff during the first half. He finished the game with four receptions for a team-high 40 yards, but clearly wasn’t satisfied with his role or the team’s production.

It’s been a tumultuous year for the 31-year-old, who suffered a strained relationship with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and is currently facing some troubling allegations.
