**Bournemouth**will host **Brighton**in their first fixture after the international break. Most would expect to see an appearance from David Brooks, who has bounced back from cancer after years of hard work. He is reaping the rewards of his effort and "earned everything" from Andoni Iraola.
‘We are waiting for one or two situations’
Iraola reflected on the experience of working as a club manager during the international break.
“International break is a strange two weeks because people think you have two weeks to prepare a lot of things for the next game and at the end you're working with seven eight players and you can focus on the individual details with them, try to improve their game but it's difficult to prepare the game.”
The Basque will be looking forward to meeting with an arrival from Serbia. After the exits of Dean Huijsen and Illia Zabarnyi, the manager desired one more central defender to balance out the squad.
“*Veljko Milosavljevic is someone that is very, very young. He is just 18. He is the kind of profile that we needed because it's also someone that is physically tall as a as a center back we are talking that we've lost some height this this season. He is ready to learn and I am happy with his signing.”*
James Hill, Marcus Tavernier, David Brooks, and Antoine Semenyo have all signed new deals with the club. Their commitments convey the trust that players have in the project on the south coast.
“We are happy with the three of them, four if we include Antoine. They played all the games. So, that means they are valuable for us and they will be in a greater spot to continue what they are doing.”
He then highlighted one member of the quartet who has excelled after a testing time with his health. David Brooks was brilliant in the 1-0 victory over Tottenham, and his resilience has been rewarded.
“David is an example know of not getting complacent with the situation and going through the difficult moments and getting better day by day. We have treated him the exactly the same. We have not given him anything. He has earned everything and I am happy that he is performing very well.”
The manager mentioned two of his men might miss out on the action this weekend with injuries.
“Lewis Cook* has a difficult situation. He has been training with the team probably not 100% but we will make a decision after training. Let's see how he feels. Adam Smith has a muscle injury in the hamstring and he will be out for more weeks and then we are waiting for one or two situations.”*
