Leeds United players agree on whether Liverpool's Mo Salah is the best Premier League winger ever

Leeds United and Liverpool can both name some of the Premier League’s greatest ever players among their former and current players, such as Mo Salah.

Leeds United’s best include the likes of Mark Viduka, Tony Yeboah, and Gary McAllister. Liverpool had the latter after his prime but Mo Salah, Steven Gerrard, and Virgil van Dijk are some of the best in their respective positions.

Raphinha is the only player who comes close to that sort of calibre, and that is more so since leaving West Yorkshire for Barcelona. The Brazilian has gone up a gear in La Liga since his big-money move from the Premier League.

However, Daniel Farke’s side will still have to face Salah and co. this season. The Egyptian has scored nine and assisted one in six games against Leeds. They will face one another again twice in December.

Leeds United players agree on Mo Salah as Premier League’s best winger

Five Leeds players were asked via Sky Sports if Salah is the best winger in Premier League history, with each selecting ‘slightly disagree’ as their stance. They then discussed the question.

Sam Byram asked: “Is Ronaldo a winger?”

The producer said: “Ronaldo, Hazard…”

Jayden Bogle replied: “In terms of what, though?”

Collectively they said: “That’s tough. That’s a hard question, you know?”

Alex Cairns said: “His numbers don’t lie.”

Bogle responded: “His numbers are crazy, but to watch?”

Cairns replied: “Yeah, they are crazy. But yeah, then you’re talking about, like, what’s the point of it?”

Bogle said: “I know but his numbers are crazy. But it depends what you want. If you want the goals and assists.”

Willy Gnonto pointed at the producer as to why he chose his answer, stating: “He said Ronaldo.”

Joel Piroe said: “I think when you look just at the Prem, the difference won’t be that much.”

Gnonto replied: Yeah, but Ronaldo won the Ballon D’Or when he was at in the Prem.”

Piroe agreed: “True.”

Bogle said: “You choose where you want to go, bro.”

Gnonto responded: “It’s tough.”

Cairns replied: “Yeah, it is a tough one. That’s a tough one.”

Gnonto said: “I like Hazard.”

Cairns added: “We are all agreed on it.”

The producer said: “I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much discussion for something that you all agree the exact same for. Ronaldo? Hazard? Are those the main two that we’re thinking about?”

Gnonto said: “Hazard for me.”

Byram replied: “Gareth Bale for a little bit.”

The producer said: “But we’re all agreeing he’s definitely in the discussion.”

Collectively they nodded, stating: “Yeah, of course. Yeah. Yeah. Definitely.”

Mark Viduka or Raphinha for Leeds’ best ever Premier League player?

Jamie Carragher has made an admission on Viduka previously, with the prime version of the Leeds legend way too much for most centre-backs to handle in the Premier League.

Viduka tore him to shreds that day and he’s riled up Liverpool fans further in recent months. That’s because Viduka has claimed he was better than Luis Suarez in his prime years at Leeds.

Others, like Ian Harte, believe Viduka is the best player he has ever played with. The Aussie is almost certainly the best Leeds player of the Premier League era.

That said, Raphinha’s peak since moving on has been remarkable with Spanish giants Barcelona.
