Leeds United are away to Fulham in their first league game after the international break. Marco Silva’s side will definitely be a tough opponent for the Whites on Saturday.
Leeds away form has been very poor this season, the club has failed to win a single game on the road. A 5-0 loss to Arsenal and a shock exit from the EFL Cup to Sheffield Wednesday do not inspire confidence ahead of the visit to Craven Cottage.

But overall, there are some positives to build on so far this season. Leeds have taken four points from three games so far, including huge results against Everton and Newcastle. The home form will also play a huge part this season, as the club have kept two clean sheets in two games there.

Daniel Farke has made the bold decision this afternoon to hand a start to Brenden Aaronson. The American has not started a league game so far this season, making it a baffling decision.

Leeds are not converting chances, and at this level, so maybe Farke is looking for something different in attack. Ahead of the game against Fulham this weekend, Daniel Farke has asked his attackers to step up and provide some goals. Aaronson was one of the players named:
“Not just Willy, but Daniel James also has a point to prove on this level, also Jack Harrison after a good start, back to life, also right now still on the run to win all the supporters back.
“Brenden Aaronson also point to prove… So all my offensive players also need to step up.”
What the shape could look like vs Fulham
Farke already experimented playing the American midfielder out wide in pre-season. Since the switch to a 4-3-3 Aaronson can no longer feature in an orthodox number 10 role.
The American will bring a lot of work rate and defensive ability down the flank, but it will be his contribution to the attack that will be a huge issue. Aaronson lacks the ability to take a man on high up the pitch. Maybe Daniel Farke’s decision works out during the game.
