Competition for places at Leeds United will be tough as the season progresses. The club brought in 10 quality players this summer who can easily push for starting spots.
Jaka Bijol will challenge Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk, James Justin is a shout at either fullback position, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is expected to oust Joel Piroe when fit. The key to surviving in the top flight is having a big squad that can compete, and the recruitment team did a great job in the window.

The lineup for the Fulham game on Saturday dropped and brought some surprises to the fans. One of the main things was Wilfried Gnonto being benched as Brenden Aaronson was handed his first league start of the season.

Well the Whites have only managed one Premier League goal all season, so Farke is experimenting to see what works. Fatigue from the international break could also be a reason for the shock swap.
But the Italian forward being benched after his comments this week will surely raise some eyebrows. Gnonto spoke to BBC Radio Leeds about the start to the season. In that interview, he said that he is ready to be among the goals for the team this season, after an overall poor start in front of goal.
“I think it’s time,”
“Playing upfront you have to try to defend and everything but we’ll always be judged for goals and assists. I think it’s time.
“We struggled a bit scoring goals and creating chances but I’m sure it’s going to come. I’m sure we’re working well and I’m sure we have the quality so we’re going to score and help the team too.”
Gnonto had nine goals and six assists in 43 appearances last season. Hopefully he can make that sort of impact in the Premier League.
