Arsenal made easy work of Nottingham Forest on Saturday, with a number of players impressing.

The Spaniard later grabbed another with a header, but not before Viktor Gyokeres tapped home a decisive second goal straight after half time. It was a key win for Arsenal, even at this early stage, given they narrowly lost to likely title rivals Liverpool in their last game before the international break.

Summer signings Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze were among the starters, and both impressed former Tottenham man turned TNT Sport pundit Crouch, who said during the coverage of the game: “They've signed some great players. Eze and Madueke at times were unplayable. I thought the luxury to rest Rice, Merino and Zubimendi were so comfortable in there, such technical footballers. They gave a good account of themselves. A great day for Arsenal.”

Meanwhile, goalscorer Gyokeres spoke to TNT Sports after the game, and he said: “Those twom (Eze and Madueke) are amazing in their positions, they always do something special. We definitely saw that today."

He added: “I was worried about you [Noni Madueke] when you came because I thought sometimes you can be a little bit selfish but now you seem to have really good balance to your play. The decisions you've been making have been outstanding.”

Martin Keown added on Arsenal’s win: "That was a really scary show of strength from Arsenal today. They were obviously without the quality of player like Havertz and Saka who were not available. That was a problem for Arsenal last season - but not this (season).

"Madueke, Eze - both came in today and were outstanding. This man, Gykoeres as well. What about that second goal – so direct. Forward pass and this man in the box is a real predator. At the moment Arsenal are looking so strong."
