West Ham United's Premier League account is finally up and running as it prepares to host Tottenham Hotspur in a London derby on Saturday. The Hammers lifted themselves off the base of the standings thanks to a surprise win at Nottingham Forest before the international break, but are now seeking a first win over Spurs in almost two years.
Graham Potter has alleviated some of the pressure surrounding his future thanks to that shock 3-0 thumping of Forest a fortnight ago. However, he's far from being safe just yet as he looks to bank successive wins for the first time since February.
Spurs were flying high under new manager Thomas Frank after starting this season with two wins from two. However, their momentum came crashing down before the international break following a shock 1-0 loss at home to Bournemouth.
That difference-maker remains the only goal Tottenham has conceded so far this campaign, while West Ham has conceded eight in three outings. Potter's men did manage a clean sheet at Forest, but a derby contest promises to be a much more serious test of their backline credentials.
