The Miami Dolphins were shockingly blown out by the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1 of the NFL season.
With a chance to bounce back against the New England Patriots in Week 2, rumors of Tyreek Hill being traded have begun to swirl. Additionally, reports of a players' only meeting this week have many wondering if things are headed downhill in Miami, further fueling a potential Hill trade.
Hill was the center of many trade rumors during the offseason as well. He publicly voiced his frustration with the team after it missed the postseason, going as far as saying he was leaving the Dolphins. However, after a series of cryptic tweets and a long offseason, Hill returned to the Dolphins and appears to be going nowhere.
ESPN's NFL insider Adam Schefter revealed that the team has no plans to trade him right now.
"To date, the Dolphins haven't received any calls from other teams interested in WR Tyreek Hill and they currently have no plans to trade him, per sources," Schefter wrote on X.
Hill has one more season after this one left on his three-year, $90 million deal. The league has already seen one All-Pro superstar traded this year in Micah Parsons, so a Hill trade may not be far-fetched.
Hill is an eight-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro. He fell just short of another 1,000-yard season last year, but that may have had more to do with quarterback play in Miami than Hill declining. He led the league in receiving yards in 2023.
