In the win over Charlotte, North Carolina was led by quarterback Gio Lopez, a South Alabama transfer, who connected on 17 of 25 passes for 155 yards and one touchdown. Chris Culliver caught three passes for 74 yards and one touchdown in the bounce-back win.
Richmond, meanwhile, is likewise 1-1 this season, falling 21-14 to Lehigh before bouncing back to defeat Wofford 14-10.
