Myles Garrett Sends Clear Message on Derrick Henry Drama Ahead of Browns-Ravens

Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett came to the defense of his teammate, who gave Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry all the bulletin board material he needed ahead of the teams' Week 2 matchup.

After Browns safety Grant Delpit told Cleveland media that tackling Henry is "not hard," Henry responded later on Thursday, saying, "He had a quote. We'll see on Sunday."

The message was sent, but Garrett did his best to do damage control, squashing any brewing animosity with a message that both defends his teammate and pays respect to Henry, one of the league's most dominant running backs.

"We got to go out there and prove it. Talk is cheap," Garrett said in a Friday news conference. "I mean, [Henry is] a hell of a player. He's a Hall of Fame talent, but got to go out there and have our guy's back. So we're going to support him in the best way we can, and that's by slowing him down and stopping the run game and nullifying their best talents as best as we can."

Stopping Henry from reaching Delpit in the second level is going to be a challenge for the Browns. Henry led the NFL with 19 rushes of 20 or more yards last season with the Ravens.

The 31-year-old running back is coming off an impressive season debut, tallying 169 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 18 carries in the Ravens' high-scoring loss to the Buffalo Bills last week.

Cleveland is searching for its first win after falling 17-16 to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns allowed just 30 yards rushing in that game, which was the lowest by any team in Week 1.
