Saturday’s loss to Fulham was the third game this season where Leeds United failed to find the back of the net. The Whites are yet to score a goal in the Premier League since the opening day.
On the positive side, Leeds have conceded just two goals outside the 5-0 loss to Arsenal. It shows that the club have a solid foundation to work on, especially after clean sheets against Everton and Newcastle. Goalscoring seems to be a serious issue in the team, as at Craven Cottage, the Whites were limited to half chances.

Daniel Farke tried something new against Fulham; starting Aaronson, Okafor and Calvert-Lewin in the front three. The German later admitted that injuries forced his hand when it came to starting Aaronson, because of Dan James’ injury.
The changes in attack did not provide anything different as Leeds failed to score once again. Daniel Farke said in his press conference that he is realistic when it comes to the attacking options currently in the squad.
“Not a concern because I’m aware of this,” he said.
“I’ve addressed this, the players we have. We would just need a bit more quality in the offence like more or less each and every other Premier League side has.
“I can’t expect something from a player he’s not capable of delivering. It’s not like I expect players labelled not good enough three years ago to come here and score goals for fun.”
Farke’s next line of words heavily suggest that Leeds will be active in the January window, after what happened in the summer.
“We try to be good in possession, we were in the first half, we dominated against Everton and many parts against Newcastle. We never just try to park the bus but I can’t expect as many end products as in the Championship.
“We have to play tight games and make sure we score goals from our situations. This will be our approach until at least January, let’s see what happens in January.
“My dream football is possession and play the opponents off the park, you know my reputation as a coach, but I have to adapt to reality and make sure we’re rock solid.”
Leeds are away to Wolverhampton Wanderers next weekend.
