Seahawks Elevate S D'Anthony Bell & DT Brandon Pili Off Practice Squad

PITTSBURGH—The Seahawks elevated safety D'Anthony Bell and defensive tackle Brandon Pili off the practice squad ahead of their Week 2 game against the Steelers.

Bell, who signed with the Seahawks as a free agent this offseason, gives the Seahawks added safety depth with rookie Nick Emmanwori ruled out due to an ankle injury suffered in last week's opener.

Pili, who went undrafted out of USC in 2023, spent his rookie season and part of 2024 with the Dolphins, appearing in 12 games, then was claimed by the Seahawks when Miami waived him last November. Pili was then waived and signed to Seattle's practice squad. Presuming Pili is active Sunday, he will be making his Seahawks regular season debut following a strong training camp and preseason that included a tackle for loss in the end zone for a safety in Seattle's preseason win over Kansas City.

Pittsburgh, meanwhile, elevated linebacker Jon Rhattigan from their practice squad, giving the former Seahawk, who appeared in 36 games over three seasons in Seattle, a chance to face his former team.
