Leeds United failed to win their third away game in a row this season. The club’s form on the road has been a major issue at the start of the season, and it does not look like stopping anytime soon.
To their credit, the Whites remained in the game for more than an hour. Especially in the second half, they could have scored. Sean Longstaff had a glorious chance near the end of the first half, but he could not keep his shot down as it clipped the top of the crossbar. The game remained a stalemate for most of the second period, and it looked like Leeds wanted the draw.

Daniel Farke even admitted in the press conference after the game that he played for a draw in the second half:
“We try to be good in possession, we were in the first half, we dominated against Everton and many parts against Newcastle.
We never just try to park the bus but I can’t expect as many end products as in the Championship. We have to play tight games and make sure we score goals from our situations. This will be our approach until at least January, let’s see what happens in January. ”
An own goal from Gabriel Gudmundsson late in added time was enough to seal all three points for Fulham.

49ers transfer window failure sees fans raging

Leeds fans watching the game will be very envious of the quality Fulham brought off the bench. In the 76th minute, Marco Silva introduced Kevin who was signed on deadline day. The Brazilian immediately showed why the London club spent so much on him. He brought pace and directness into the game, when Leeds sat back for a point.
It was his effort that forced the corner at the end for the own goal. Seeing a signing like that pay off shows just how bad the 49ers handled the end of the transfer window. And now fans are furious with the lack of investment this summer.
Leeds United attack continues to be toothless
Daniel Farke tried to shake up the frontline today, by starting Aaronson, Okafor and Calvert-Lewin. It was the first league start for Calvert-Lewin and Okafor this season. While the Swiss international looked threatening during his time on the pitch, Calvert-Lewin looked rusty. It was similar to the game against Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Cup.
Saturday’s game now makes it two goals scored in five games all season, Leeds need to fix this serious problem.
