Arsenal came into Matchday 4 of the 2025/26 Premier League season with a tough matchup against European hopefuls Nottingham Forest, but they promptly dispatched their opponents 3-0 in a match that was never really close.
The Gunners avenged their tough loss to reigning champions Liverpool before the international break with a comprehensive performance, and the best part of it all is that five of their big new stars from the summer 2025 transfer window were central to the effort.
Striker Viktor Gyokeres scored his third goal in four games this season to put himself in top Golden Boot placement, and he came close to scoring again, too. Meanwhile, defensive midfielder Martin Zubimendi also scored twice in a dream display.
The most impressive performance of them all, though, belonged to former Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, who answered a lot of critics by thoroughly dominating one of the top defenses in the Premier League.
Madueke showed that he is a top Premier League right winger in his own right with arguably the best display of the weekend, setting up a jaw-dropping five chances for his Arsenal teammates while winning a whopping five dribbles.
The England international was even a difference-maker defensively with three tackles and an interception to lead the team as a winger, making Arsenal fans now wonder why on earth Chelsea would ever sell Madueke to them.
Beyond those three, Eberechi Eze also chipped in with a solid performance, recording an assist, three dribbles completed, and two fouls drawn in a classic all-around display as a progressor.
Even young center back Cristhian Mosquera showed that he’s already able to be one of the Premier League’s best in the role, notching two tackles and two interceptions witih a goal-saving challenge while leading the team with 82 pass attempts and a solid 91.5 percentage completed.
Arsenal didn’t spend as much as Liverpool, but they had an amazing summer transfer window in their own right, with all five of these guys responding well to the Liverpool shutout loss by owning Nottingham Forest.
