Miami Dolphins GM Chris Grier has a growing problem with Tyreek Hill.

The Miami Dolphins have had their share of issues with wide receiver Tyreek Hill. And, after a 33-8 throttling at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday and Hill only catching four passes, it doesn’t seem like things are going to get any better.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk noted on Saturday evening that Friday’s press conference with Hill was never posted by the Dolphins.

“For reasons not apparent, the Dolphins didn’t post a transcript of receiver Tyreek Hill’s Friday press conference,” Florio writes. “There’s one apparent for the reason to pass on typing it up.”

Florio says that it has to do with a question from Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald. He asks Hill about the fact that he hasn’t caught a 30-yard pass in more than a year.

“You’re trying to piss me off today with that one, huh?,” Hill replied.

But, Kelly persisted with the Miami Dolphins speedy wide receiver

Kelly wanted to press on. He noted that Tyreek’s speed is still more than fine, but then asked, “but, are the throws there?”

Hill let out a laugh again, and his answer was quite telling.

“I don’t know, bruh,” Hill said. “I don’t know, bruh…I’m just grateful to be here, bruh. I love my job, bruh. It’ll come, it’s gonna come. I feel like this week, we got a great opportunity to go out there, make some plays. You know, move past last week. I don’t know, man. It’ll come. Sometime, I hope.”

Things are not going well for the Miami Dolphins

Things just keep getting weirder and weirder in Miami whether it’s Tyreek-related or not. Sure, it probably runs deeper than we even know, but even if you just look at the calendar year, they’ve packed five years worth of turmoil into just nine or so months.

First, Tyreek says “I’m out, bro” after the final game in the 2024 regular season against the New York Jets. Then you have disgruntled players like cornerback Jalen Ramsey, questions about general manager Chris Grier’s job, concerns that the team doesn’t respect the head coach and just about everything else.

Throw on top of all that, the terrible Week 1 loss to the Colts and now all of the worries are amplified. So, how much of this does fall on quarterback Tua Tagovailoa? Clearly, Tyreek didn’t want to answer those kinds of questions, but you can tell that he’s losing faith in his signal caller.

And, why shouldn’t he? The team leader talks about other people after a loss in which he was absolutely terrible, throwing for 114 yards, a garbage-time touchdown and two interceptions.

“I’m definitely curious to see, ‘I came in on Tuesday, I seen these guys on Tuesday last week. I want to see if the same guys are watching film on Tuesday’, I want to see how everyone goes about their process,” Tagovailoa said.

It’s not tough to see a team in disarray when there are so many questions about leadership. And, when that happens, you’re going to have a ticking time bomb like Hill just waiting to explode when things don’t go his way.

The Dolphins have apparently noticed all of this and would like to keep things as quiet as possible.
