Everton were held to a goalless draw against Aston Villa at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
David Moyes’ side had chances to win the game, and the statistics clearly show they were deserving of the three points.
But, Everton couldn’t make their dominance count, failing to score from an xG of 2.17 compared to Aston Villa’s 0.54.
Speaking post-game, Moyes was asked why Beto got the nod up front over his £27m striker Thierno Barry.

David Moyes doesn’t want too much pressure on Thierno Barry
Moyes explained that he’ll probably rotate Beto and Barry this season as he doesn’t want the latter to have too much pressure, given he’s still young and adapting to the Premier League.
On why Beto started, Moyes replied: “Just the goals I might just chop and change for no particular reason.
“I’m also introducing a boy who has not played in the Premier League, a centre-forward I should say who has not played in the Premier League.

“I want to give him the opportunities to see what he can do and if he can keep stepping up. But I don’t want to put too much pressure on him straight away to be, you know, to show.”

Everton are back in action on Saturday as they travel to Anfield to take on fierce Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
Indeed, it’s a huge game and one that can be really difficult to play in, especially away, so based on Moyes’ post-match comments, he may opt for Beto to lead the line again.
Chucking Barry in from the start after a couple of weeks out of the side may be a little bit too much to ask.
The Frenchman is only 22-years-old, so clearly the experience of Beto may lend itself better for this particular fixture.
