Here is how we felt they performed in the 2-1 reverse at the Vitality Stadium.
### Bart Verbruggen 6/10
Might have been initially unsighted by van Hecke on the first Bournemouth goal and was unable to improve his penalty record when Semenyo stepped up. Otherwise it was an unremarkable afternoon.
### Joel Veltman 6.5/10
Continued at right-back but also showed he can get into midfield areas at times and join in play. He let one pass over his foot when well-placed, to his obvious annoyance, but it was a decent outing.
### Jan Paul van Hecke 6/10
An afternoon which will be remembered for that right foot which invited Evanilson to tumble. While not playing badly, the authority we have seen from him was not really evident this time.
### Lewis Dunk 6/10
A big part in the second Bournemouth goal with his loose pass in a vulnerable area – but it still looked like Albion had got enough men back to rescue the situation. Made a brilliant goal-saving challenge on Evanilson just before the break and got involved in attacking play.
### Max De Cuyper 6/10
We know he loves to charge forward and it was in doing so that he was needlessly helped into a painful clash with the advertising boards. Had got off to a decent start but was unable to continue after Semenyo’s shove.
### Jack Hinshelwood N/A
Given a huge vote of confidence with his midfield selection but injured after just 16 seconds in an unfortunate tangle with Evanilson.
### James Milner 6/10
His start recognised both his own influence on the team and Baleba’s poor recent form. Seemed to work hard in midfield but did not stamp big authority on proceedings.
### Yankuba Minteh 8/10
Albion’ s biggest threat and his cross for the goal was high quality. There are those who follow Bournemouth who expect Truffert to be an upgrade on Kerkez in their left-back role but Minteh caused him problems while restricting his attacking contribution.
### Georginio Rutter 6.5/10
Showed good footwork and strength on the ball at times and sent Minteh away for the one first-half chance as well as playing a part in the goal. Held on to possession fir too long on occasion.
### Kaoru Mitoma 7/10
A decent mark justified largely by the soaring leap and accurate header to breathe life into his team. He is always a potential threat and looks fit and strong but end product was hit and miss.
### Danny Welbeck 5.5/10
His improvised shot which bounced wide probably looked closer to a goal to the away fans than it was in reality. Got involved in build-up play but did not really trouble a changed Bournemouth back line.
### SUBS - Yasin Ayari 6/10
Sent on just three minutes into the game but did not have a big influence in the game.
### Ferdi Kadioglu 6/10
Is he headjng for a run at left-back. Did a decent enough job at left-back and can offer more than this going forward.
### Carlos Baleba 5/10
His disappointing start to the season continued with poor passes, sluggish tempo and a yellow card picked up looking to redeem his own mistake.
### Stefanos Tzimas 6/10
Good to see him unleashed in the quest for a leveller and he looked keen and eager.
### Brajan Gruda 6.5/10
Was busy and hungry to make things happen and almost unleashed Minteh with a pass late on. He is definitely a contender to start at No.10.
