Liverpool lineup vs. Burnley confirmed: Szoboszlai right-back, no Isak

Arne Slot has named an unchanged Liverpool lineup for the trip to Burnley, while Alexander Isak has not made the squad following his deadline day move.

Isak did not travel with the squad for the first game since his £125 million switch from Newcastle.

The striker had been expected to be among Slot’s substitutes at Turf Moor – but instead will focus on building up his fitness.

Alisson starts after a busy international break with Brazil, standing behind a back four of Dominik Szoboszlai, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Milos Kerkez.

Ryan Gravenberch will be deep-lying midfielder with Alexis Mac Allister and Florian Wirtz in the advanced roles.

Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Hugo Ekitike are again named as Liverpool’s front three.

Liverpool lineup: Alisson; Szoboszlai, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo; Ekitike

The likes of Federico Chiesa and the fit-again Jeremie Frimpong are on the bench.
